Internal Events
Most of our existing good practice workshops can be delivered on your premises or at a venue close to you. This approach is favoured by many of our clients as it provides a high quality and value-for-money staff development route.
By running workshops internally, content can be tailored to local needs Staff can be encouraged to share ideas, then agree development plans and implementation plans that are owned by them and consequently have the best chance of delivering results.
In many cases the cost per person works out significantly lower than our open events too, especially when delegate travel-time costs and convenience are factored in.

Delegate Numbers and Room Layout
The maximum recommended number of delegates for our workshops is 18. Most of our workshops are interactive participative learning experiences and work best with lower number, 10-14. It is sometimes possible to work with larger group sizes but thsi is dependant on subject matter and the extent to which we can replace participative learning with lecture style presentation.
The preferred room layout varies according to delegate numbers. The suggested room layouts are below
6 delegates or Less: Boardroom with “top table” on one of the short sides
6-12 delegates: U shape.
12-18 delegates: Cabaret Style. 3-5 tables with about 4 people on each, No delegate must sit with their back to the presenter/screen. Delegates need tables they can rest materials on.
Classroom/lecture styles set ups do not work well with our workshops.
For all group sizes the presenter/facilitator requires a top table with a power supply for the data projector and laptop ( we will supply the laptop). A side table to spread handouts and materials on prior to issue is also useful.
Indicative Timings

We can adjust these times to meet your needs if required.
Delegate Details, Feedback Analysis and CPD Certificates
We ask that the client supplies details of delegate names and positions in advance. We use thsi information to tailor content to the audience and to produce a register. The latter is then used to produce CPD certificates.
Where Excellence in Learning delegate workshop evaluation forms are completed and returned to us, usually via the presenter on the day, we will provide a summary of the feedback, copies of the base forms and internal CPD certificates by post after the event.
Supply of Event Materials
We usually ship materials direct to a named contact at the delivery venue a few days prior to the workshop and then check arrival. Materials are usually a small pack which we ask be passed to the presenter un opened. This is organized by our print and dispatch but it would be helpful if you could let us know who they should liaise with regarding confirmation of final numbers, shipping of materials and the contact address/phone number applicable.
